What a beautiful state park, Pennsylvania you pleased us again! From renting kayaks on the weekend, hiking on their many trails, fires outside every night to our fabulous stay at their modern cabins… Full review by Terry M

I do not recall an insert, but I do remember the large (brick?) area in front of the fireplace, to protect the rest of the floor from sparks. Perhaps another reviewer has a better …

I do not recall an insert, but I do remember the large (brick?) area in front of the fireplace, to protect the rest of the floor from sparks. Perhaps another reviewer has a better recollection. I do think as far as insulation, that the windows were newer, but the cabin itself had some air leaks. I could see daylight through them, as well as hear some critters chewing or traveling through the wood of the walls or the floor boards.
