No, but the beauty and variety of the Reserve absolutely will keep your thoughts far from your stomach. And there are parks nearby that do allow picnicking--Centennial Rotary, Manzanita, and Fay Bainbridge, all within five minutes' drive (or less).

It's a bit mysterious. On the website, the Reserve is definitely listed as open on Labor Day, although that is a Monday and they are normally closed Mondays. Also summer hours are given for May 26 – Sept 2, while Regular (off-season) hours begin Sept 4. which makes it sound as if it's closed on Labor Day, Sept 3. My suggestion would be to call them at: (206) 842-7631 to find out what's really true.
