Best place to camp in a pop-up. I have two small boys and a dog. Needs hookups. I would really like a place with a camp fire and great view of the sky.

We stayed at the nearby KOA, only about 20 minutes from the Dunes Nat’l park. It had all the amenities, and a great view from the campground of the mountains.
Hi, planning to head over this week. I keep reading about reservations online but cant seem to figure out how to get passes to enter. Do they sell enterance tickets there? Also how does experiencing it at night work (not camping there) Thanks!

Reservations are likely for the campgrounds--not for day use. But apparently they are doing that at the gate which causes delays. They may also be delaying people from entering …
Reservations are likely for the campgrounds--not for day use. But apparently they are doing that at the gate which causes delays. They may also be delaying people from entering the park to keep the numbers down. I saw them doing that at Black Canyon as well two weeks ago. My advice: 7:00 AM visitors--no problem with crowds...11:00 AM visitors...you take your chances.

Definitely go early and/or take something to put on your dog’s feet. We arrived at 10am and by 11am the sand was burning our feet when with sandals on. Many people were wearing socks only and that seemed to be a great way (for humans) to enjoy the sand dunes without worrying about shoes filling up with sand.
