Well worth the trek, the pictures don’t do it justice. A couple of helpful tips, the flies are relentless, be prepared. If you are going into the water, a good pair of water shoes would be helpful… Full review by hockeyparent33
Would you say a 4.5 year old could do the hike to the grotto? You mentioned you went with kids, but not sure how old your kids are.

I didn't go with kids, but many others were travelling with kids. It is a 30 minute hike (depending on your pace). I think a 4.5 year old would get tired, so a wagon might be helpful. It is …

It is difficult once you get there to make your way down on the rocks to the water. I would think carrying a 4.5 year old would be necessary.
Hi, I was wondering if there is any other way to get to the Grotto entrance other than by car? Can we bike or walk to the entrance?

We were told that you can take a 3 hour hike in from the Halfway Log Dump site. Looks like a rough hike and you still pay $$$ to park, if you get up early enough to get in the parking lot.
