Now is the time to go to Cayote Canyon to see the wild flowers. Water flowing through the canyon, so pretty! Many varieties of flowers...but please don't tread on the delicate desert flowers! Full review by Kamala V

Yes, it’s BLM style camping and there are NO facilities. I recommend checking your cars hoses are tight as the road is uneven. They suggest 4x4 but I didn’t have it and did fine.
How far can we get up the trail with a 4x4 truck? Did the slot last weekend. Easy to get too, but so crowded!

With a 4x4 you can do the entire canyon, but there are closures so you have to come in from the bottom or down from the top and retrace your route. I made it to Santa Catarina Springs in 2wd about a week or so ago. The road from the bottom has been graded (I think!) The second creek crossing was semi deep, but no big deal if you have clearance.
