Senior membership benefits are from age 65 + plus. You can buy it online but try to see if your AAA membership can save you some money for the admission. They have 20% discount. See what is less expensive. It is wonderful place to visit during any season. Bank of America have great discounts too for local museums. Always ask for their best options. Have a wonderful trip there.

Yes there is a picnic area near the entrance. There is a small cafe for those who do not come with a picnic in mind, the items at the cafe are tasty treats.
