Visiting Hearst Castle for the first time what tour do you suggest

We chose the grand room tour which was recommended for first time visitors. We found it gave a good overview of the castle and grounds and would recommend it
Can I take more than 1 tour in one day, such as taking Grand Rooms tour in the morning, then taking the Upstairs tour in the afternoon?. Thank you.

Yes. My daughter and I did 3 tours. When we were there in November we had to go back down the hill at the end of each tour. I believe that is their policy.
