Not for adults. The exhibits were not that interesting and a few of them were actually broken. I would not recommend adults attend the science museum. Kids would probably like it for a while. Full review by NICKH2455

I find a lot of Science Centers are really geared towards kids. I'm 28, would probably go buy myself. Would this still be a good place for me to visit or would I feel weird and out of place in a place that is very kids-centric?

I went with 2 adults and 1 child and we all enjoyed it. It comes down to how invested are you in participating in all the offerings. I did it all and loved it as much as my 12 year old. There is plenty for adults to do and I saw many couples and friends without kids.

Hi, I am planning a trip to Baltimore with two 11 year old boys. Is there something for their age or is this more of a little kid place? I only see little kids in the pictures. We went to the science museum in St. Louis last year and it was great for big kids. I'm hoping this is comparable.

There is a good balance of exhibits and experiments for younger and older children and some that will puzzle most adults. I took my 6 year old grandson, He enjoyed the visit, but only after I explained every thing to him. An 11 year old can read the labels & instructions and actually get more out of it. Try to coordinate your visit with any special programs. I am a 70 year old engineer and enjoyed the special exhibits by area high school robotic teams. My grandson enjoyed controlling the robot. I enjoyed the technology. There were special programs by the US Department of Energy which showed how to see Gamma ray trails in a smoke chamber. The children were allowed to program some functions of a microcomputer called a Raspberry Pie. Lots of hands on stuff. Some is just see and do for the young children and non-scientific adults. Some you need to reason out which is fun for the older children. They had an exhibit where you built a shock absorber for a raw egg and then dropped the egg onto the floor. Some eggs survived, but most did not . What 11 year old child would not enjoy an egg going splat??? Getting up close and personal with dinosaur bones is fun for all ages.
