The hike is quite challenging (esp going down) but it was an amazing experience to be immersed in the natural rainforest and the waterfall is breathtaking. Full review by zareena_and_company

I have not personally been on it but have heard good reviews from others there is a company called raven tours that leaves from townsville and does a waterfall tour and it is very good I am not sure of how often they go or dates but might be worth a look. It’s a easy drive.
