Jamil Miller had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Kennesaw State dominated No. 24 Rutgers and held on for a 79-77 win in the first home game against a ranked opponent in the program’s history.

The Kennesaw State men’s basketball team made program history on Sunday with its first-ever win over a top 25 opponent. Jamil Miller completed a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Three of his teammates also scored in double figures.

Harper shot 12-of-22 from the field and did most of his damage going to the rim, which is exactly what Rutgers needs from him and very difficult for most defenses to stop. He tallied the most points by a Rutgers player since Corey Sanders racked up 39 against Illinois in 2016.

Dylan Harper dropped a career-high 36 points and Rutgers fended off Matt Allocco and Notre Dame 85-84 in overtime to conclude a wild first day of the Players Era Festival on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.
