The Italian Grand Prix at Monza will remain on the Formula One calendar at least until 2031 as part of a six-year extension to the existing agreement, which runs through 2025, Formula One said on Wednesday.

Formula 1 on Wednesday confirmed that the Italian Grand Prix will be hosted at Monza until 2031. Monza's existing contract ran until 2025 but F1 have announced the six-year extension after what it describes as "significant upgrades" being made to the premises ahead of the 2024 race, which was won by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Monza is saved as the circuit which currently hosts the Italian Grand Prix have agreed a deal with Formula 1 to host the sport until 2031.
