BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Ga. — The family of a New York couple who vanished without a trace in 1980 until their remains were found last week says they’re glad to have answers to the cold case.

The Romers, of Scarsdale, N.Y., disappeared from a Georgia hotel. Divers who seek to solve cold cases found a vehicle similar to theirs in a pond. They also found bones.

Personal items, including the Rolex, diamond ring, other jewelry and a license plate bearing their initials were found.
