The hits keep coming for the Houston Texans as Jalen Pitre is expected to be out “for a while” after leaving Sunday’s game.

Houston safety Jalen Pitre is "expected to miss multiple weeks with a partial pectoral tear suffered Sunday," according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Pitre reportedly doesn't need surgery as of late November, and he could return at some point in 2024.

Safety Jalen Pitre suffered a partially torn pectoral during the team's Week 12 loss to the division rival Tennessee Titans, via NFL Media. Pitre will be out for multiple weeks, though the exact timetable for his return is not yet known.

The Texans are expected to plug in veteran safety Jimmie Ward as Pitre’s replacement. Ward stepped in for Pitre and returned a Will Levis interception 65 yards for a touchdown. He had one of his better games, recording six tackles, three for losses with one pass defensed. He has two interceptions this season, 30 tackles, four for losses.
