Ariana Grande's 'Wicked' character Glinda and Ethan Slater's Boq intersect at Shiz University in 'Wicked' Moviegoers are finally getting a peek at Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater's relationship on the big screen.

In “Wicked,” Elphaba and Glinda travel from Shiz University to the Emerald City on a glistening green train to meet the wizard. In real life, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have traveled much farther and wider and longer — and on airplanes — to promote their hotly anticipated film.

Ariana Grande also shared a series of BTS photos and videos on Wicked’s premiere day, though Slater could only be seen in the background of one image. “Like a handprint on my heart,” she captioned the post,

"To say I’m honored to be a part of this movie is the understatement of the century. I cannot wait for you to see it," the actor wrote
