Thanks to an exclusive arrangement with Apple, Walmart sells factory-new versions of the M1 MacBook Air priced at just $599. That’s way less than we’ve seen newer MacBook Air models priced at Amazon and elsewhere, even during their Prime Day lows.

As a brief aside, the Apple Store's usual Black Friday gift card offer will be live starting Nov. 29; M2 and M3 MacBooks will come with free vouchers worth up to $200. That doesn't beat any of the dollars-off discounts available elsewhere, but it could be a practical option for those enmeshed in the Apple ecosystem.

Early Black Friday Cyber Monday deals are starting to drop, and several new Apple MacBooks —including ones that hit the shelves only a few weeks ago—are available for hundreds less. Translation? Now is hands-down the most opportune time to upgrade to a new laptop.
