Lea County Public Safety Administrator Charlie Pruitt told KOAT that the second storm had heavy rain, wind and hail, but no "tornadic activity." KOAT will update this story with any new developments.
The National Weather Service has not confirmed the tornadoes actually touched down yet. The service will typically send out teams to assess damage and confirm tornadic activity.
