Indonesia landslide rescue teams are searching for seven missing people after torrential rain battered the region. Authorities operated excavators to search for victims after heavy rainfall triggered flash floods and rockslides in the North Sumatra province.

Indonesian rescuers are searching for 7 people still missing four days after torrential rain hit North Sumatra province, causing flash flooding and landslides which killed 15 people, an official said on Tuesday.

Indonesian officials say rescuers have recovered 16 bodies under tons of mud and rocks or that were swept away in flash floods that hit mountainside villages on Sumatra Island.
