From crabs to volcanoes, there were 59,228 entries to this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition

The winning image and the four runners up will be announced in February 2025 and displayed online, joining the winners of the 60th competition, and will also be showcased on the voting screens at the Natural History Museum until it closes on Sunday 29 June 2025.

The 25 shots have been shortlisted for the People's Choice Award of the prestigious Natural History Museum's Wildlife Photographer of the Year prize. Four are from UK entrants.

The Natural History Museum in London has finally announced the list of finalists for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award 2024.As per CNN, the organisers stated on Tuesday, November 26,

“The People’s Choice Award allows members of the public from across the globe to join the jury and vote for their winning image, inspiring everyone to connect with the natural world,” says Dr Douglas Gurr, the Director of the Natural History Museum.

A prowling puma, a hunting polar bear cub and a ghostly barn owl are among the shortlisted images for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award 2024.

The public are being urged to vote for their favourite nature image from an "exceptional" shortlist for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year people's choice award.
