The Kansas City Chiefs nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in their Week 12 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. However, a marvelous scramble by reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes ensured that the Chiefs would be able to kick a chip-shot field

With 1:55 left in the game, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed a touchdown pass to Chuba Hubbard to put Carolina within two of the Chiefs. Carolina then was able to get the two-point conversion to tie the game.

In the win, Mahomes — who was sacked a season-high five times — connected with nine different receivers for 269 yards and three touchdowns. Star tight end Travis Kelce moved to third on the all-time list for the career receiving yards by a tight end, passing Antonio Gates.
