How it was explained to me is Dolby Vision is a licensing thing. Devices have to be licensed to use DV in a case by case basis. Which is why most Dolby Vision certified PC's are stuff like the new Surface pro. That's what the Dolby Vision Extension app people keep mentioning is for. Consiquently that is also why DV isn't very widely utilized.

The dolby vision picture mode changer that opens from Energy Media Player's settings doesn't do anything. I suspect if it worked, it might fix the problem. Dark scenes look almost similar but mid bright and bright scenes are too bright on PC.

The functionality first started rolling out on the Alienware QD OLED monitors earlier this year, so good to see that LG is supporting it as well.

Pretty much the title. I was bummed to see that Halo Infinite doesn't support Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos output on the PC version (but does on console!). I can play Atmos files and get "ATMOS" on my receiver just fine, but I've yet to play any game that triggers it.
