Dec 15, 2022 · Robe of stars is also situationally worse than other forms of protection in that using it removes the creature from your board until your turn. So yes, it's "protected" in the sense that you get it back, but it's also "removed", if, for example, someone wanted to swing at you without dealing with a scary blocker.

Aug 3, 2018 · Pretty straight forward, I love the Robe of Stars for the magic missiles and the +1 to saves, but i thought the at will Astral Plane travel might be really useful until i actually didn't know what that would entail mechanically. Sure it might be useful for planar travel, but is there a mechanical benefit for going into astral plane mid combat?

I am pretty sure I can get him to "upgrade" my Robe of Stars to send me into the Ethereal Plane rather than the Astral plane. Honestly it could be pretty cool to Travel to the Astral Plane and then travel around to other planes, but I cant really go off on by myself.

If the creature is phased out while vizier is on the stack, it can no longer be chosen to copy as vizier enters, as it does not exist. But this does not make the vizier fizzle. It does not target, and you can choose any creature to copy as it enters.
