Jan 21, 2005 · some one told me that with my 700r4 that i dont need a shift kit. that all i have to do is adjust the kickdown cable to make it shift harder or softer. is this true and if so has any one ever done it before ?

Mar 23, 2010 · 1970 camaro, 383, Turbo 350/B&m shifter with 410's. in the rear. Right now the kickdown cable is NOT connected. It will downshift into 2nd and 1 st as you slow down but it will not kickdown (obviously) when you mosh the gas pedel. The mechanic says this is bad for the tranny. what r ya thoughts...

I'm trying to get the T.V. cable to hook to the throttle arm on my Street Avenger. The problem is that both cables (one looks new) that came with the trans have a ball on the end. All of the mounting studs I can find on the Holley site either have a ball or a grooved end (like for a kickdown cable). How are you supposed to hook this up?
