Aug 1, 2024 · Shaped charges with various liners can be used for testing anti-meteoric shields. Segmental liners allow forming aluminum elements with velocities up to 5 km/s. Combined liners can be used to provide 5–16 km/s aluminum particle velocities. Combined shaped-charge liner includes jet-forming and cutting-off parts.
In calculations, consideration has been given to shaped charges with a diameter from 20 to 100 mm with aluminum liners of various shape. It has been shown that the formation of particles with velocities close to the lower boundary of the considered range is ensured by gently sloping segmental degressive-thickness liners.
