Dec 1, 2023 · A lot of folks here have good things to say about the OT Defense nylon bumper as a replacement for the stock bumper. I get the idea given the fear of that screw backing out and throwing the rail off. I picked one up and putting it in it seems like the included screw is a bit long.

Dec 23, 2023 · The incredibly dumb rubber bumper that holds a critical inner rail in. Mine outa the box was finger tight, and there is NO way in hell that screw could have a proper torque on it with rubber between it and the metal.

Apr 22, 2021 · Something else unique about the BRN-180 is the lack of a buffer extension. Consider the upper assembly and revisit the first photo in the thread. The black part of my upper stayed black for a reason: this is a polymer molded around the two guide rods of the bolt carrier.
