I think she just understands where a pop album sits in relation to what's happening in the world. It clearly is a cathartic album, lyrically speaking.

I can honestly see her taking the same approach to Bad Romance as what she did with Dance In The Dark on The Monster Ball HBO Special, chop the second verse and chorus so it doesn't kill the pace from the get go. It's not as if we haven't seen Bad Romance performed 500 times anyway. , , and 1 other person.

Mar 9, 2020 · This honestly would have flowed so much better. I always found it kind of jarring her opening with Bad Romance, Poker Face, and Just Dance - it felt very disjointed going into the Chromatica and other stuff then. It genuinly should have opened with Chromatica 1 and into Alice.

Outside of maybe Telephone, the editing and effects weren’t jarring at all, and it did feel a massive step up from the Monster Ball. The best part about it was how effortless it all felt. Whatever it was that was shook loose in her seems to have worked.
