Sep 19, 2009 · CSXT's class CW44AH model AC4400CW units include the following: 273, 403, 459, 495-599, 5101-5122. The first three were rebuilt from standard AC4400CWs using kits provided by GE. The rest were built as "heavy" units with advanced "TM2" software.

The CW44AC/AH class of locomotives were originally modeled as the AC4400CW and the CW46AC/AH class of locomotives were originally modeled as the AC6000CW. The reclassification of the models occured during various rebuilds and upgrades. Some units were rebuilt in to CM44AC units and renumbered into the 7000 series.

CSXT 7008 (CW44AH) as a front-train DPU on a southbound manifest at Brookley Siding, being around 10-15 cars from the lead engines and about 75-100 cars from the rearmost car. I have not seen a DPU this close to the lead engines before, so this was quite the surprise.
