Jan 2, 2015 · The paperwork plasmacam sent me specifically said the software license was transferred to me, however, after they saw my bill of sale for $125 on the table they decided they didn't want my business. The sales guy told me they don't have any copies of the old software to sell, then laughed and told me I shouldn't have bought a ten year old machine.

Aug 20, 2018 · I for one (a 12 year owner of a DHC2 Plasmacam) will disagree with you. I would agree that there are machines priced similarly to a Plasmacam that are built heavier duty than a Plasmacam, however the Plasmacam's integrated software (when the upgrades are purchased) are hard to beat. The CAD is not universal, it is designed for plasma cutting.

Nov 24, 2018 · PlasmaCam and Design Edge forces you into an exclusive marriage between table and software. Different tables are not allowed and no drawing software I know of dovetails between the table operation and drawing application like DE does seamlessly.

Jul 28, 2016 · No, the 3.11 software was not updated. The NEW software, "DesignEdge" is really great, but it means you will need to bite the bullet and purchase it. Now, the RUMOR is that PlasmaCam is creating a DHC to DHC2 upgrade kit. I do not know what this will include. I assume it will be a major upgrade, and knowing PlasmaCam, it will come at a major price.

Dec 29, 2018 · DesignEdge software is proprietary software that runs the PlasmaCam tables. It does it all. Design, and machine operation, etc. That is the "Edge" that DesignEdge has over other programs. I am spoiled, because my first table was a Samson 510 (PlasmaCam's 'Big Brother') and I learned the software well.

Jun 30, 2020 · I have an older Plasmacam DHC with plasmacam 3.11 software. My computer took a crap so i got a new computer. I installed the parallel port i had in the old computer into the new computer. I installed the plasmacam software but switched windows 10 to capatability mode for windows 7 for plasmacam.
